I recently purchased 3 of the additional cool packs to go with my activewrap that I had purchased about a year ago for my ankle. These ice packs are very inferior in quality compared to the ones that originally came with my activewrap. I don't know if they changed them in an attempt to cut cost or what, but one of the original is easily worth two of these. They don't stay cold nearly as long. I can't believe they cost me $10 bucks each. Pros: ? Cons: See below |

I purchased the ActiveWrap after sustaining a foot injury in 2007. My need was quite urgent and the service I received was excellent - the item was delivered very quickly enabling me to commence rehab straightaway. It is a very useful piece of kit - very versatile and comfortable to wear. The flexibility of the gel packs for use as hot or cold is great and it certainly helped to accelerate the healing process for my foot. I would recommend one of these products to anyone. Pros: Flexible, esay to use, versatile, comfortable Cons: When purchased mine only came with 2 gel packs |

The packs need to be cooled in a really cold freezer to be sufficiently cooled. Then they will be too cold at first, but they will fairly quickly warm up. They will only stay cold for about 10 minutes, but I guess that's enough. Overall a good product. Pros: Great for keeping the cold pack in place. Cons: The packs lose their cooling capcity fairly quickl |

This is an absolutely FANTASTIC product that does everything as advertised. I rarely (if ever!) write product reviews, but I've had such a good experience with ActiveWrap, and dealing with Scott at HeelSpurs.com, that I wanted to let everyone out there know if you have heel pain and/or plantar fasciitis...BUY THIS PRODUCT from Scott! Pros: VERY easy to use, very effective! Cons: None |

Although I listed a con of not being able to walk once you put it on, that really doesn't affect it's use. It was very successful in helping me heal from plantar fasciitis. Pros: easy to use and take along Cons: can't walk once using it on foot |

First off, I have several versions of ice paks, and some get colder than others, but these get the least cold of all, even after being in the freezer for 24 hours. Also, they seem to get warm in very short order. Within 10 - 15 minutes they no longer feel cold on my feet. I like really cold ice paks, but I suppose it would be good for people who are very sensitive to cold. As far as fit, it seems they are made for very fat ankles because I have to wrap the velcro all the way to its tightest point and it still feels loose. And when the velcro is all the way to the end, it fits funny . . . kinda wrinkled and awkward. The picture on the website is deceiving because they show a normal ankle and a perfect fit, but it is not that way. Pros: good construction, adjustable ice paks Cons: not very cold, fits poorly |

I used the wrap as a cold wrap-it was wonderful! The wrap stayed so cold and my foot really felt better. I found that I only needed one of the little packets at a time. I kept the other one in the freezer. It really stayed cold a long time. It got the cold to the right place and kept it there. Pros: see below |

I bought the ankle wrap to treat a heal spur that I had for three years This product is very good to apply a cold or heet. I bought extra gel pack I keept two in the frezer and two at room temperature I used them at night before I went to bed and forgot about it until the next morning. It provided some relief but I believe that the soles (pinacle) have to be used in conjonction with this treatment to provide a lasting relief. Since the pain is gone I am still using the soles and I am about to buy a couple of spare so I don't have to switch from one pair of shoe to another. Pros: Very confortable and hold's the gel pack in place Cons: unconvenient to use during the day |

I have been looking for a way to wrap an icepack around my feet comfortably for quite a while and the ActiveWrap is easy to use and to adjust for the maximum comfort. I use it before I go to bed and my feet feel great the next morning. After a long day on my feet or a really hard workout session it is great to be able to apply the cool comfort of the ActiveWrap and relax for a while. Pros: Easy to use & adjust for comfort |

It's funny. I thought I would love the Active Wrap, but to my surprise it hasn't turned out that way. Of all the products I bought from heelspurs.com the other day, this is my least favorite. In fact, it's the only one (out of six) that I don't love. Five winners out of six ain't bad, though! Not bad at all.
I ice my foot six times a day. I find that the interval between each icing isn't long enough for the ice packs to get truly cold enough for effective use--in fact, in my opinion, the packs really should sit in the freezer overnight to reach an adequate level of coldness. Of course I could simply buy several more packs so that I always have a frozen-over-night pack at the ready--the thought certainly occurred to me--but I don't think I will because, unfortunately, I have other problems with this product.
It seems to me that, during a 20 minute icing, the ice packs' coldness wears off much too fast, even when they HAVE been sitting in the freezer overnight. Before I'm half done they're no longer truly cold--very cool, maybe. But not ice cold.
What's more, the boot thingy fits me kinda funny. It sounds crazy--I can't figure it out myself--but it seems that I'm able to position the ice packs in just the right spot only some of the time. More often than not, though, I can't position them right matter how much fiddling around I do - and of course while I'm fiddling around the ice packs are rapidly becoming room-temp packs, which are not terribly useful.
In sum, the ActiveWrap is a well-made, handsome product that just isn't doing it for me. I'm sure I'll use it from time to time, but the truth is, for icing my foot I much prefer my trusty old frozen water bottle. Obviously, Your Milage May Vary: if the other reviewers of this product are any indication, there are PLENTY of folks for whom it works wonders. It might work for you, too. You'll never know until you try.
(I hate giving a less-than-rave review that might wind up dissuading a person from trying a product that might be Just The Thing for their particular problem. If it sounds like the ActiveWrap could work for you, ignore me and go for it!) Pros: nice looking/clearly durable Cons: fits funny/doesn't stay cold long |

This works well for holding the cold packs on my sore foot. Part of the velcro remains exposed though, I guess it's covered if you put the wrap on an elbow. The exposed velcro sticks to the rug, which is a minor drag but well offset by the relief the cold gives. Pros: easy cold application Cons: sticky exposed velcro |

I did not notice any progress until I started using the wrap and taping my feet. I was able to run again within aweek afterwards. Take it slow at first and build speed up gradually. Thank God for Google, Heelspurs.com and Scott. Pros: You need the cold treatments if you want to heal Cons: It isn't a perfect fit, but you can wrap both feet |

Since getting this product, was able to subdue the pain from plantar faciitis. Only drawback of the the product is that it is SO effective that if you use them barefoot, your foot would get numb. I recommend that you put on your socks to "neutralize" the effectiveness. Pros: Very effective product Cons: Need socks!! Gets very cold |

ActiveWrap is a great product! I was very surprised at how effective ice wrapping was to my feet. This has been a great product for my plantar fasciitis. I ice my feet before going to bed for 10-15 minutes, and the wrap keeps the ice packs on my feet, but not too cold. I like how the ice packs can be repositioned depending on what hurts. My only complaint is that the velcro straps are really loud taking the wraps off and putting them on. Pros: does exactly what it says it'll do Cons: velcro is VERY LOUD! |

Thank you for the engineering that went into the development of the ActiveWrap for the foot! The product not only allows the user the flexibility of "wrapping" the sleeve to your satisfactory tightness, to control support, BUT it's heat & ice pouches control pain like no other product(s). I also found that I could use the pouches without either hot or cold neccessary. I got relief by using the ActiveWrap with room temp. pouches in it and even then it relieved swelling and pain!
Wish I had had the elbow and wrist ActiveWraps several years ago when I was experiencing tennis elbow and carpel tunnel! |

This product was the best thing for my fascitis. I battled foot pain for three years. My feet ached to the almighty, I had three costisone injections which helped temporarily but didn't last, and finally surgery came up in a conversation with my podiatrist. I didn't want that.
Stretching and icing using the active wrap were the two best things I did. I was committed and religious about doing it every night while reading or watching TV. It's great. I wish I did this sooner but now I know. Pros: easy to use, nice and cold, moveable ice packs can Cons: N/A |

If someone has the discipline to mess with this, it works well. My feet definately felt better the day after I used it. However, sometimes I just rest my foot on one of those flat bluepaks of pretend ice meant for coolers, and it seems to work just as well--cheaper and less fussy. What works the very best is wearing my Birkenstocks 24/7 (all have orthotic footbeds). I've worn them all winter and I'm limping as soon as I have them off very long. But when I wear them all day, I hardly notice any heel pain at all. It must depend on your foot though. The comments on the shopping channel web sites have mixed reviews, although mostly good. Some have my great results like I did, but others complain of a bad fit. Hey Scott, how about making some well-priced Birks available on your site? I'm having a customer service problem on one of the shopping sites where I tried to purchase a second pair. Your customer service was excellence and reason enough to try anything recommended on this site. Pros: I does what it says. Cons: Putting my foot on ice does the same thing. |

I am truly enjoying this wrap and I believe it is helping my plantar faciaitis (sp). I really like the wraps as far as comfort. I sleep in them sometimes, (without the ice packs) and in the morning I have no heel pain at all. My one complaint would be that when I do need to ice my heels, the gel packs warm up too quickly. My doctor recommended 30 minutes of icing. The gel pack warms within 5 or 10 minutes, and then has to be switched out. If you buy these, consider getting extra gel packs for your freezer. These wraps are a great value compared to other things I have seen. Pros: comfort, ease of use Cons: gel ice packs do not stay cold |

| I like this product rather than having to use a normal ice pack and I like the fact that you can move the ice packs around. I do use it for my plantar fasciitis and just move the ice packs down to the heal area and strap my foot in. Works fine that way since I am normally relaxing when I do this. I can get the ice packs to the bottom, sides or back of my heal. It is really easy to use and I love it. So glad I found this product. |

I use to have to take time out every night to ice my foot (an added chore), now I can comfortably sit and rid or watch tv with my leg in a normal position. Definately worth the money. Highly Recommend. |

The packs conform to the heel very well. I can take normal ice packs directly on my skin, but not this, need to keep my sock on. VERY VERY COLD. Most definintly helps the heel feel much better the next morning.
If your heels hurt, a must to ice them for 10 - 20 minutes before going to sleep.
I've not tried heating them. By far a must buy product if cold helps you! |

I usually don't review products, but your product and service deserved praise. I had to respond. The product was exactly what I was hoping for - well made and well designed. I used it to ice my chronically painful tennis/golf elbow. With the velcro ice packs, I was able to adjust the wrap to hit the painful points precisely. This was product was better than I even expected.
Now almost as importantly, the customer service was incredible! I thought I has sized it correctly according to the sizing chart, however when I tried it on, it was too small. I called Heelspurs and they immediately said that they'd send out another one. There were no questions asked and they didn't ask me to send the first one back before they sent out the replacement. I received the new one within two days and it fit perfectly.
Your company and your product is second to none!
Thanks for your great service!

| Great product. The best part is it lets you walk around (or at least move around) when you are icing. Don't put a lot of weight on your foot when you move about...but you can be mobile. The snuggness of the ice pack againt the arch also helps with a better icing than with a loose fit. |

| There are two things I really like about this product: the first is that the velcro allows it to stay in the place you put it. I can walk around, shift on the couch without cold water dripping on me and on the furniture. The second is the movability of the cold packs -- it allows me to customize the product in many different ways depending on what aches at any given time. My only criticism is that the cold packs tend to get REALLY cold, and like similar faux-ice cube products, can leave freezer burn on my heel, sting, or make me remove it sooner than I'd like. |
