This worked well, and was somewhat more comfortable than the form-fitted plaster version the ortho doc made, and much more than the more all-encompassing boot I initially bought. I was able to sleep in it, which was an improvement over the others, and within a couple weeks the foot was about 80% better (also was doing exercises and Advil) The brace allows a little slippage and wiggle room unless you make it fairly snug, but even so, it did the job.

Best part was it deconstructs easily enough and is light enough that I could cram it in a suitcase for an overseas trip that was pretty hard on the foot -- I had also tried a very compact neoprene sock-brace that had no beneficial effect at all. So B+ generally, A+ for travelers.

I first used a lace on ankle brace to minimize foot movement. Much to my surpize it worked. My podiatrist provided the 90 Degree Night splint and it was covered by insurance. I can walk in the morning without heel pain!! I prefer it over the lace on ankle brace because it goes on and off much easier. The heels still hurts when I stand or walk all day, but they did that when I was 30 years younger :-)

The night splint has proven invaluable and extremely effective in managing my heel problems.

Standard Night Splint worked great for me, I wore it to bed every night for about 4 months like the instructions said. I haven't had any more problem with my foot since then.

Well, for the price, it's okay. Basically, it has seemed to help my condition (planter fas. of left foot) , but, simultaneously there's too much velcro which gets irritating. Also, even though you're not suppossed to walk in it, there's no way I'm removing the boot every time I go to the bathroom during the middle of the night, and to that end, one of the "hinges/connections" on the side of the boot snapped and in my estimation the boot shouldn't have broken so easily. Regardless, duct tape had to be utilized to repair the damage. But, it was red duct tape which went well with the green

The principle of the night splint is ok but it is too uncomfortable. Couldn't sleep for a minute with it on and it is a real hassle trying to walk to the bathroom during the night.

For an elderly man (80's) it is too hard and too tall - the cub splint is much better even though you can't wear it outside.

I prefer this type of heel spur product. It maintains the ankle angle at a perfect 90 degrees and I have no pain whatsoever in the morning when I put weight on my heel. However there is either a material or mechanical flaw in the product. Over the past few years, I have had several (of this same type) and they all "break" at the exact same spot -- the hard plastic piece that goes up the back of the leg snaps/breaks about 3.5" from the bottom -- I only wear the product when lying down -- I do not attempt to walk on it -- I have had the product simply snap from just my flexing my ankle. I would suggest either using or offering a version made of metal instead of plastic or perhaps re-engineering the plastic version to have a metal spline insert in that section of the product for added strength. Because I like the product, I will continue to purchase it -- which is profitable for the manufacturer, but it would be more economical for me if you could reinforce the back of the leg support in the ankle area to prevent these snappings.

Couldn't use it and returned it. I am fairly short, and it comes too high up the back of my leg. So many of these splints seem to be made for people of "average" height, and are uncomfortable for the millions of us who are shorter.

It is the best one on the market if you don't need the adjustment. Best of all, it is not hard to sleep with and can be walked with if you wake during the night.

It does help. I still use it and will continue for at least 5 more weeks. It is hard to put on because of all of the velcro straps that stick to everything that they are not suppose to stick to.

This was the BEST investment I have ever made. Thank You

Well, I'm back on this site to order my second one of these night splints because the first one snapped and broke last night. If you want my review, you might as well read everything "Peachy F" says! This is a great splint, but it has a serious design flaw. Just from flexing your foot too much, the spine of this splint snaps. Making the product completely useless! I've only been wearing this splint for one month, so throwing it away while it still looks brand new is no fun.

There are definitely much stronger types of plastic that could be used to make this splint. It seems well made in every other way, why can't they use a more durable plastic for the part of the product that needs to be strongest?!

As for the effectiveness of the splint, I am definitely noticing an improvement in my foot after only one month of use. I can walk without any pain when I take my first steps in the morning. My foot has not healed completely, but I'm noticing progress. And, this splint is comfortable enough for me to wear all night.

I guess, like "Peachy F," I'll just keep paying my money and buying this splint over and over until the manufacturers decide to make a better quality/stonger product or until my foot heals.

I like these...As noted above there seems to be an abundance of foam and velcro, but as big as they are, I can sleep the whole night with them. In the past, I used a sock type splint that I always kicked off in my sleep. Also, I'm able to sleep on my side with my legs on top of each other.

And like others, I've tried everything and nothing seems to have helped in the past, including $800 orthodics. These have helped. I'm a little lazy, and I don't wear 'em every night so I can claim I've found a total cure.

I LOVE this night splint. My PF pain has been reduced tremendously after only two nights of use. Plus, you can walk on it (though you're not supposed to) -- great for trips to the bathroom. I find the splint to be quite comfortable (I wear a sock underneath). I looked long and hard at all the different splints, and I'm so glad I chose this one. Best money ever spent.

Works great. No morning pain after wearing this splint. My foot is considerably improved since I started using this night splint. I do not have any problem sleeping while wearing the splint. If I were to suggest an improvement it would be to be able to walk in it.

I have heelspurs in both feet. Two of these nightsplint would be too expensive and too cumbersome. I returned this one and looking for something more in line with my budget .

Would have liked a splint that had an ability to adjust the bend in my ankle so I could have had my toes pointed "up" more...no possibility and if the velcro was very tight, that was uncomfortable. It is an "ok" product, but I would go for one that has that additional adjustment.

It's easy to use and pretty comfortable. If I had one complaint it would be that the strap across your foot at the ankle fails to keep your heel all the way in, but it's still pretty dorsiflexed and far from plantar flexion without the splint.

It is comfortable once on and stays secure. Easy to walk in if needed. Some people might find it difficult to deal with all the velcro tabs. And very noisy. I have another style that is adjustable, making it possible to create a greater flex if I want, and uses two simple tab locks making it much easier to put on and remove.

Heel splints generally work well, but not great for me. This heel splint, like others that I have worn, greatly reduced the heel pain in the morning for me, although the pain still returns during the day. As far as heel splints go, this is a good one, but not a great one. The standard night splint is sturdy and although they tell you not to, I have found that I can walk around the house in it. The downside of this splint is that it is not adjustable and the velcro straps are somewhat cumbersome and very noisy when putting on and taking off. Noisiness can be a problem if you have a sleeping companion present who does not appreciate it.

In one month I solved a very painfull heel problem. I wore the night splint every night for a month and I started using the Power Step insoles on a daily and continuing basis.

The night splint is well built and sturdy. It keeps the foot in a health position for heel pain recovery. I recommend it and the Power Step highly. This website was instrumental to making good product choices.

I came down with PF for the 2nd time after running a 5K. I had it for 3 months and couldn't get rid of it. I tried custom orthotics, icing, stretching, new shoes, and stopped running completely in the hopes it would go away with rest. Nothing worked and I continued to wake up every morning with a sore foot. A friend recommended this splint. I thought it was stupid but figured I had nothing to loose so I bought it. It worked! I wore it to bed every night and woke up each day with less pain than the day before. Around the 5th day I was pain free. I even started running again (short distances) and so far so good. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Sure beats paying for another visit to the foot Doctor.

This foot splint didn't work for me. Another foot splint I got from my doctor worked. Now I don't have to wear the foot splint every night but the discomfort will come back after a few nights without wearing the splint. I only need to wear the splint a few hours a night and then I wake up and take it off. I endured this pain for quite some time before I finally sought relief. Now I'm glad I did. I have the evenings back I used to spend suffering.
