Dear Beverly:
Thank-you for answering my request for advice about my difficult case of PF. I think that what you said about finding the right physiotherapist is what would help me a lot. I am trying another one right now. The previous one gave me several exercies but did not really give me advice or guidelines on how to know what is too much. He used a photon laser which was helpful but he then turned it up too much on the last visit and it really irritated the foot.
I developed this condition in June 00 as a result of walking too fast and other physical activity that put too much of a stress on my feet. I tried to continue walking after I 1st got this and it was a struggle as it got better and then worse from day to day depending on how much I walked. Then after about a month I tried to walk through the pain and it really flared up and since then I have not walked very much. I have pain in the arch and when I put my weight on my feet it just gets worse and worse. If I stay off it feels fine but then I can't have much of a live if I can't walk around. I am able to increase the amount of weight I can stand gradually every day but it is so easy to overdue it and I have to back off. Then I have to start over again. It is just so hard to make any progress, I really don't think it will ever get better.
Would it be possible to give you a call to ask what the therapist did specifically that helped so I can look for someone who does that? Or maybe email me. This condition is a real test of will and any kind of hope that you descibed in your reply to me would be great.
