Running: Pain one day and gone the next - Any Theories?

Posted by Karl on 4/24/98 at 21:42 (000050)

There are occations when I run 6 - 8 miles one day with a good amount of pain due to PF and the next day there is no pain at all. Why is this? Most people would conclude that running and irratating the PF one day would mean more pain the next and so on. Also, some days it hurts more to walk than run. I would think running would cause more pain.

Any theories would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I don't know about the running and then feeling better, but I do know that my feet hurt a lot more if STAND on them without moving than if I can just keep in motion. They hurt less walking than standing. I have no idea why. My drs. don't really seem to be able to explain it, either. Also, they hurt more at night in bed than they do when I'm up on them at times. Seems like getting off them would help, eh?

I have had the same pain pattern. Walking hardly bothers me at all.
Standing for any length of time is HELL!
