It was around this time last year I got PF. I've been pain free for the last 3 months. I hope I don't have a reoccurance (knock on wood).
I really dread winter. For me, winter and injuries don't mix well.
Again (as stated in previous posts), my progress was and continues to be glucosamine, massage to break up the scar tissue (I no longer feel a lump in my heel), and calcium supplements. In addition, the warmer weather this summer has kept the injured area loose. When it gets even the slightest chilly, my plantar fascia tendon tightens. My running mileage continues to increase. I'm now up to 70 miles a week. A long road from not being able to run at all back in March. I need to pay special attention that I don't increase my mileage too much at once. That is what got me PF in the first place. The best advice I can give is to continue to do what works for you. No overnight cures for this injury. If there is, I'd like to market the cure!
