Being overweight may not be the only cause of many cases, but it does make it worse. If body weight was not a cause of heel pain, then it wouldn't hurt to stand on our feet all day. The more we weigh, the less time we will be able to spend on our feet. However, other causes can be much more important than weight.

I don't think the weight is the big problem, I have a friend who also has pf and she weighs only 97 lbs.

I think part of the weight problem is that most people are not really overweight at all or very little BUT when we get pf we put on weight due to the lack of exercise cause by it. So more weight is probably not good but not too much can be done that we would have done in the past to solve it. And losing weight might help or might not but it not the cause or cure of pf. Just a few thoughts :)
