Anyone on disability because of pf?

Posted by DaNita on 12/07/98 at 00:00 (002555)

Well, today I filed disability papers. between the pf problems and the fibro. I can't do alot. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me. All the doctors cannot agree on how to help you, and I will not have any more surgery on my feet.

Oh my dear -- you have my sympathy. PF is horrible enough. I understand fibromyalgia is equally horrendous. I hope you don't encounter TOO much bureaucracy with the disability paperwork and that things fall into place smoothly for you.

Glad you're not going to agree to more surgery on your feet, at least for now. PF is new for me -- and definitely not a fun experience -- but one thing this site has taught me is, start with the least invasive treatment possible and work your way towards the invasive VERY slowly. I figure I can go through a lot of Spencos, Birks, SAS, Superfeet, glucosamine sulfate, night splints and frozen Coke bottles before I think about injections and surgeries.

At least on this board, you're among friends who DO understand what 24-hour pain is like. Keep us posted on your progress, OK?
