custom orthotics

Posted by Janine on 12/18/98 at 00:00 (002745)

I have been looking around these message boards for a while and I have noticed that many people have had trouble with orthotics. For example, they are too hard, or they are still experiencing heel pain, etc., and now their $300+ orthotics end up in a drawer somewhere.

I just want to let people know that it doesn't have to be that way. If you have orthotics that need more cushioning, or need to be custom fitted to your shoes, or maybe they lost their shape, you don't necessarily need to get new orthotics. You would be surprised how little it costs to have adjustments made, or even refurbish your orthotics to 'like new' condition, directly from a lab. If you want, you can even have your old orthotics duplicated.

Orthotics have been long time proven to help alleviate the pain of PF(and in some instances, eliminate it completely).

You may also order custom, hand made orthotics directly through our lab for only $169.50, which includes an easy step-in foam casting kit.

If anyone is interested, or has questions, feel free to e-mail me, or visit my website at http://www.orthotics.com

Hi, I am a 2 1/2 yr sufferer of pf, and have been through all almost all the rx listed on this site. the custom orthotic has really made a big difference in my comfort, along with birkenstock sandal. I easily switch from reebock dmx with the custom orthotic and the birk only. no other shoe is comfortable. In fact I have aufull pain without the orthotic in the athletic shoes. The orthotic I have are made of cork and spenco top. The cork is cut out at the site of the fascitis and a foam insert is in its place, so they do not put any pressure on the fascitis site. the orthotic is custom to my feet so it corrects my gait also. My insurance did not cover them , but my friend fought her insurance co and they did cover the cost. I cannot believe insurance company consider orthotic a optional or cosmetic item, not nec. , let them spend a day in my feet without the orthotic. Painfull. good luck eileen
