I have had considerable pain in my heel since spraining my ankle 10 months ago. At the time of the injury I could not put any weight on the heel. The pain is located at the back of the heel. My problem has been diagnosed as plantar fasciitius. How unusual is it for this condition to occur as a result of a specific injury. The condition varies from soreness in the back of the heel to occasional sharp pain if I land on the heel or extend my foot while taking a step. I don't have some of the more typical symptoms such as morning stiffness. Any input is appreciated.
