Thanks for Caring(Dayna and Everyone Else)Posted by Susie on 2/07/99 at 00:00 (004607)
Thanks for the info. My primary doctor is real good about referrals. I'm in my middle 40's and have had Pf for 10 years. Haven't been to the doctor about this problem for about 9 didn't know that there were so many alternatives. I taped my foot last night using Scott's diagram and it felt great but not sure how long that will last. I'm going to mention the Daypro and ultrsound. Was that
the podiatrist that used those two methods of treatment?
So many years I have felt alone with these crippling feet and it
is so important to know other people have the same trouble. And most important all of you have given me great advice. Thanks Dayna and everyone. Susie

You are entirely welcome. Yes, it was the podiatrist. I respond well to ultrasound, can actually feel it working. You might try just a plain vibrator against your heel, set it on low and slow, it tickles a bit but if your heel tingles after you stop, you've increased the blood flow which helps healing. If nothing else, it feels like you've done something, there is power in the placebo effect. I follow that with ice 1/2 hour later.
