Shark Cartilage-good for me!

Posted by Melody on 3/13/99 at 00:00 (005520)

Thanks to the one who suggested it! I have taken it now for 1 week
with success! I started out with half the dose to make sure it agreed
with me & with that my ankles have felt stronger & my feet don't
ache as much. I'm going to increase the dose now & see what happens.
Thank you for the suggestion!

Chris-
Since I'm not currently using another anti-inflammatory, I can't advise whether to take shark cartilage along with the anti-inflammatory you're using. I've been taking the shark cartilage for 2 days with no change in my heel pain (I know that doesn't seem long, but the other person said their pain went away in 3 days, if that was a legitimate post and not a hoax). Anyway, it sounds like Scott thinks that shark cartilage is bogus, and I would trust him more than the other person who posted a few days ago. Good luck! Fred
Scott-
Thanks for your response! I bought one bottle (30 capsules) and will probably take them until the bottle's gone (5 days), but they don't seem to be doing anything yet so I think your assessment that they're useless is probably correct. Either they acted as a placebo in J.B.'s case (see post at the end of Feb.), or he (she?) was just egging people on to buy something that had no chance of working. Thanks again for your post, and for this site; you are really providing a service for a lot of people out there! Fred

Thanks a lot for your advice. As you can see, we are all looking for anything that might help. I'll pass on the shark cartilage.

Re: Shark Cartilage - forget it

An update on my post of last week - I ran out and bought a bottle of shark cartilage ($12 for 30). I took 6 a day for 5 days with absolutely no result. So my vote would be: forget shark cartilage
Should we categorize this one under the 'grasping for straws' category? It sounded too good to be true, and it was. But good luck to anyone else who decides to try it anyway!
