Sue, I am not certain about the rounding up the toes, but I think it means bending the toe up from the bottom to break in the cork area underneath the toes. That way you will get alittle movement/bending from the shoes, under the toes as you walk. (when new they are so stiff and don't bend when you walk.)
kinda like when you have to break in a new softball glove and you put the ball in the glove and leave it under your mattress for a couple of weeks so it bend in the right places.
Does that make sense?
