Also developed tendonitis - ultrasound helped

Posted by Elise on 5/31/99 at 00:00 (007386)

I developed tendonitis while trying to break in a new pair of orthotics. It is the tendon that runs on the inside of my ankle and connects to the plantar fasciia.

Also, since it seemed to be working so well on my ankle, the PT started ultrasounding the bottom of my foot as well, and this is by far the best I have felt in 9 months. First they are icing my ankle for 12 minutes, then ultrasounding it, and then I stretch the ankle and plantar fasciia before I even get up.

This was the first weekend in 9 months that I was able to walk a few blocks completely painfree. I didn't think I would ever know what a pain level of 0 felt like again. I am still not my normal self, but I am finally feeling cautiously optimistic
