I found the pool to be a great place to exercise --- I just use one of the kiddie 'noodle's and away I go. You can simulate running with it under your arms, ride it like a bicycle, do cross-country ski exercises, jumping jacks, and entertain yourself for an aerobic hour easily without lessons. I think I do more than I did in aerobics classes, because the water takes the heat away from your body. I had always been a walker, and hope to again someday, but not yet on this poor foot.
