More thoughts on ice

My physiotherapist suggested crushed ice in a wet towel (no more than 20 minutes) or the ice water baths (your feet are in the water, but not really in contact with the ice which is just floating around). At physio they use cold water baths that are just a few degrees above freezing. I also checked with the sports med doctor and he said either are fine, but that things like frozen peas are often not cold enough to achieve real benefits. I guess whatever works for each person - but according to them they are safe options....
