Back/Feet pain--Anyone heard of Jose Olazabal the golfer whose feet almost ended his career?

A couple of weeks ago I asked if anyone had 'bio-mechanical' treatments or chiropractic care and I didn't get much feed back. O.k. after being told yesterday by the 6th doctor that there is nothing else they can do for me I am about at my witts ends and am willing to try anything!!! A friend of mine who is an 'golf nut' told me about this Professional golfer Jose Olazabal who turned pro in 1985 (I guess he won a number of tournements) and then in about 1994-96 or so came down with debilitating pain in both feet. This is a quote of a news article I found on interenet about him.

'Doctors originally thought Olazabal had rheumatoid arthritis in his feet. About six months ago, however, German homeopathic specialist Dr. Hans Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt diagnosed it as a bio-mechanical problem brought on by a lower back hernia. Injections that include iron, zinc, amino acids and shark cartilage have eased the pain and allowed Olazabal to play tournament golf again.

He went on to win the Master Tournement in '97 or '98 ( can you tell I am not much into Golf).

I am convinced that my back pain that started almost 3-4 years ago is affecting my feet. Is anyone familiar with which care providers deal with these biomechanical issues? Maybe us back/feet pain suffers need to start looking more at treating the back to help the feet. Who knows, just a thought.

there have been several post concerning back pain as releated to foot pain. probably the two most noted back institutes in the the US are The Texas Back Institute in Dallas (www.texasback.com) and the Florida Spine Institute (www.spinepain.com). Having had back surgery 20 years ago i can assure you a problem in your back can cause pain in your toes, ankle,or foot.
