OrthoticsPosted by Lori S on 10/04/99 at 00:00 (011474)
Mardi, I've had orthotics for about 5 years of the 10 I've suffered. I've been very happy with them. I had a Dr. make the mold and paid $325 for them. I just got a new pair this summer after surgery. My old pair went in my bedroom slippers . They have become a part of my life I can't walk without. Make sure you get them from a reputable place. Some people seem to be unhappy with them and the fit. Good luck!

(ps sometimes insurance will pay for them, sometimes not. HMO's usually don't pay for them. However, they are WORTH the cost as they make most shoes wearable, not matter what they cost).
