My nearly-two years doesn't compare with your 16 -- but I share your enthusiasm for not relying on the medical community for an answer. I only started to seriously improve when I took treatment into my own hands and tried combinations of things that inherently felt right for me. Lo'and behold -- some of them actually were right for me. And continue to be today. The ideal, of course, would be a medical commuity that welcomes input and ideas and recommendations from patients. (Not in my lifetime, probably.) For me it's been Birkenstocks exclusively, bromelain, a diet that eliminates flour, wheat and sugar, and moderate daily aerobic exercise.
