My therapist started with my calve and ankle and arch area, because my heel was to sore to touch. Probably more emphasis on my arch than any other place. He said because the vessels connect up thru the ankle and calve, etc. its a good idea to massage from the calve down. I still do alot of massage with my hands, especially around the ankle area. I'm glad the other thumper worked for you, it's always nice to save money. Remember, I did not get immediate relief so don't give up on the massage to soon. Good luck.
