nerve entrapment

Posted by johnw on 1/12/00 at 00:00 (014639)

Our mechanism is healing is neovascularity. The pain from nerve entrapment results from the impingement. Oftentimes the pain is not at the point of impingement - just as a pinched nerve in the back may cause leg pain.

Improving the health of the tissue impinging the nerve would not relieve the symptoms.

A classic case of non nerve related pf is often described as avascular/scar tissue at the point of attachment. Neovascularity aids by revascularizing the surrounding tissues and stimulating the growth of new healthy tissue.
