hell spur & PF need help

Posted by Jan on 2/21/00 at 00:00 (016142)

Hi Folks
I could really use your help. I have a heel spur and PF. Very painful and no help after 3 doctors, cortisone shot, physio, painkillers, ice, heat, orthitics, specialists etc. Nine months now of unbearable pain. Lost my job and mobility. (my husband got a loan for an electric scooter) I'm 47 and not about to give up on this.

I live in southwestern Ontario Canada and have been looking for something that will work. I read about ESWT (OssaTron) available in Toronto (about 3 hours drive for me). My health care will not cover treatments, but I am in extreme pain and desperate.

Do these treatments work?

Any suggerstions would be greatly appreciated.

God bless

Jan

Hi Jan,

Like most treatments they are effective for some and ineffective for others. The concerns that I have with ESWT are; it is invasive, it is expensive with no guarantee that it will help, it is new (what are the long term results?)and it does not address the underlying cause.

A heel spur is the result of PF. In order to eliminate the pain of a heel spur you must first address your PF.

Before you try ESTW take a look at Personal Foot Trainers at http://www.heelspurs.com/a/pft/ because they are the only device and technique that addresses the underlying cause of PF, weak short or tight lower leg muscles.

I hope you find relief soon.
