One of the things I miss is the feeling of excertion and the wind on my face. I get this kind of a workout with cycling. When my wrists are good I go for a good 30 minutes on bike, and train in the stationary mount at home.
If you are recently injured with PF, of course, wait, be patient; shop for a good pod or ortho doc, not all know best. Listen you your gut!
