Stress

Posted by wendyn on 3/22/00 at 00:00 (017709)

Gordon, I tend to be a high stress person. Yoga is doing wonders for me....I do know that with the onset of my major feet problems - my stress level increased for a while a lot. Partially due to pain, but also because I did not have the exercise outlet for stress anymore. I'm sure that there is a connections somewhere. Also, the more stress a person is under - I think the more you 'suffer' with the pain.

'pain makes cowards of all of us'. do not know who said it but someone did.

I think both are true in a way. Pain brings out a lot of fear, which may be seen as cowardice -- at first. But the lucky ones find the strength to face and overcome the fear and end up stronger. No cowardice there. Fear that strengthens a person is something to be welcomed in the end. --Nancy
