Follow up visit

Posted by dfeet on 3/30/00 at 00:00 (018048)

I have a follow up visit with the orthopod to discuss my blood work results and how I've been doing over the past eight weeks. I havent't seen much improvement over the last eight weeks in my condition. He had briefly mentioned a surgery which would in effect release my calf muscles and by doing so relieve the strain on my PF and tarsal tunnel. He is not a proponent of TTS releases, but he said he would consider this surgery above any. Has anyone heard of this before? Am I getting the guinea pig treatment? I haven't been able to come up with any research on this calf release procedure.
After having a lateral retinacular release for my knee, I am not thrilled even to consider any type of release surgeryor any surgery whatsoever. Thanks.

If I could (run that is), I would. Hobble is more like it! Yeah, it sounds pretty harsh. No surgery for me, in any way shape or form! Thank you!
