topical pain reliever

I hesitate to post this thinking that some will think it strange but I have found something that is providing me with some relief. A close friend who has had hip replacement recommended it to me ( his orthopod told him ). It's a topical pain reliever made for racehorses that contains capsaicin, It blocks the P pain receptors. You have to use it for about a week before it starts working but my pain level has gone from a 8-9 to a 3-4 and this was after trying everything but surgery. You can buy it at Quality farm and fleet or tractor supply store, It's called Equi-Block. I haven't lost my marbles but I have lost most of my pain.
