I would think you have to use the feet a lot to get around in a rolling chair. Pushing off, moving forward, stopping, etc.

I can see where this would help by getting off your feet in the first place, but I can't help but think that it could strain other muscles/tendons and create a new set of problems for you. Maybe you could get Mike W.'s opinion on this. He's a body mechanics expert, or so I think.

Either way, good luck and good health. You are absolutely right about taking charge of the situation and doing something. Just watch out for new injuries.
