calcium for cramping

Posted by Nancy S. on 6/26/00 at 08:07 (022415)

Hi all,
My sister-in-law just told me that recently she started having severe cramping in her arches. (She has had no PF or other foot problems.) Her doctor prescribed extra calcium, so she has been taking 1200 mg. in calcium supplements each day and has had dramatic improvement. (In fact, the cramping is gone, I guess that's more than dramatic.)
Hope this helps someone.

I was told by a Rheumatogist that 1800 mgs of Ca. is what you should take.
