Posted by Tracey Engler on 7/20/00 at 16:08 (023629)

I have had heelspurs from the time i was 12.Three years ago i started going to the doctors because so intense i couldnt walk or stand for more than 5 mins. at a time. I had sergory three years ago shortly after going to the doctors.two years later i still had unbeivable pain.so i went back to the doctor.he sent me to a specialist.who once again did sergory only on my right foot last time it was both.but because my right bothered me more he operated on only that one.well its been nine months and i still have unbeivable pain in my right foot and now my left is bothering me again.Ive already missed alot of work and nothing seems to help.Ive tried everything.removeable cast, taping, medicine, and theropy,as well as streches.im at the end of my rope anyone have any suggestion please let me know.

Tracey -- Please give us a little more info. What type of operations did you have? Removal of spurs or surgery on the plantar fascia? What specifically was done?
Also, what is your diagnosis now......heel spurs, PF, TTS, etc. ?

thanks.........Steve

Hello Tracey,

Sorry about all the pain and frustration. You did not mention rest or nightsplints. Hope you feel better soon! BG

I'm relatively new to all of this, but see my post a few down for some thing that have helped me (see one of the responses from me that says something like great news in the subject line). I don't know if we have the same thing, but I woke up pain free this morning for the first time. Hope things improve for you one way or the other.
