'FOOT THEARPY- Here's a new way to deal with foot pain: Predicted to be a popular alternative to surgery, shock wave thearpy is a one-time outpatient procedure for treating plantar fascitis, tendinitis, and stress fractures. A machine called the OssaTron uses high-energy waves to break up scar tissue, calcifications, and bony growths. It stimualates blooflow and desensitizes nerve fibers for faster healing and, oftentime, immediate relief. You can literally walk out of the exam room in 30 minutes and be back to your normal routine in 7-10 days. Clinical trials boast a 75% success rate. At press time, the therapy was awaiting FDA approval>'

Thanks for the clarification. But what does Ossatron do? How is it different from EWST and ultrasound?

The ossatron is a machine that performs ESWT. Are you talking about ESWT when you state EWST. Is this a mis-spelling. The ossatron produces high energy pressure waves into the foot. The pressure waves create energy at the site of treatment which in turn stimulate the healing process and turn down or off the pain receptors in the painful area that is being treated.
