I wish my doctor would give me a nerve block shot, but when I asked about it, he didn't like the idea... thought it was potentially risky.

I spent the weekend in misery with this hamspring sprain that as you may remember was caused when I was put on the Total Gym in PT about a month ago. It calms down and flares up and vice versa. Since driving THE major trigger for the hamstring strain, I'm getting friends to tote me about this week to PT, ect. The hamspring strain responds well to rest, or at least it has in the recent past. I'm hoping for that again.

I have a new view on what is a 'good' day. A good day means it only hurts when I walk outside the house. An average day, I have mild pain when putzing around the house but no pain when off the feet. A BAD day, is when it hurts all over. A really BAD day is when it hurts so much, I can't even stand to drive. I am having a REALLY BAD day today.

I feel like this shot was a complete flop. And I'm still sore from the injection point.

My PT is convinced my back of the leg/behind the knee pain is a hamstring strain and not the sciatic nerve. It actually hurts more than my feet and ankles combined. But as I said, the hamstrings respond well to rest.

Thanks for the imput,
Beverly

Any suggestions out there for boots in which i would put an orthotic.......I mostly live in Birks, and they don't work too well when the snow flies........I need to go buy some type of boots and I'm dreading the shopping trip. Any help would be welcome!
