Pain is just one factor in determine the area to treat. You should treat at the insertion of the pf and or achilles tendon site depending of what area of the foot and ankle is causing you pain. X-ray , fluroscopic, palpation of the area is another method that is used either together or separately . If you don't have pain then this is going to very hard to treat. Why would you want to something that doen't hurt.?

I have a small heel spur and was offered cortisone injection....I don't think that's the most effective solution, so where is this shock wave therapy offered - I'm in the Boston area.... irit
