Shooting Pain in Heel

Posted by Joe P. on 2/13/01 at 07:18 (038801)

What would cause an occasional shooting pain in the right heel? It's like a five-second electric shock. There don't seem to be particular times when it happens or doesn't happen. No relation to exercise or body position. Thanks.

I see this after heel spur surgery. If is either the fibers of the plantar fascia or the bone healing. In your case if no surgery it could be imflamed fibers of the pf.

Have you ben examined and have all systemic conditions such as Diabetic neuropathy and lower back disc syndrome been reviewed. ?
