What else can I do?

Posted by Jan C on 3/05/01 at 13:13 (040462)

I live in NZ and have had pf for 18 months - it is so painful and depilitating. I have had several lots of orthotics made for me, physio, acupuncture, 2 hydrocortisone injections - given by an orthopaedic specialist, strapping, using ice, rest, etc etc.

I have recently purchased a N'ice Splint through email - and wow - no morning pain - that's a real breakthrough - but the pain returns with a vengence as the day goes on. So all I can do again is rest - boring!

Through this site it seems ESWT would work for me - but we do not have it in NZ.

All my specialists really seem to care - but they seem to have run out of options.

My orthopaedic guy said to go back to my podiatrist to get my orthotics adjusted - yeh sure!

ANY other idaes would be appreciated - I am going mad and getting REAL depressed!

Would it help if any of my specialists contacted Dr Z direct. I am sure they want to help me but have run out of suggestions.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I will be happy to discuss your case with any of your specialists. It does seem like you have had eveything.

Surgery is a consideration if you are having the first in the morning type pain. We call this heel spur syndrome.
