Acupuncture for Plantar Fibromatosis

Posted by Sherry R. on 3/14/01 at 14:58 (041481)

I have had 3 acupuncture treatments in the last 6 weeks. The tumors appear to be shrinking. I am taking an herb called ACQ given to me by the Acupuncturist, that increases blood flow to my extremities. The theory being that the blood flow will heal the disease.

My feet have definitely been warmer (I have always had cold feet). The acupuncture needles are stimulated with heat and electricity. I am excited that this is working.

As a side note, have any of you had thyroid problems? My foot problems started about the same time my thyroid gland quit working.

Another treatment is posterior tibial nerve blocks and then inject the multople masses with a local steriod. This can resolve the problem

Glad to hear that you are responding to the acupuncture treatments.
