Does the position of your foot/ankle effect pain?

Posted by Matt L on 3/29/01 at 08:44 (042903)

In my case I am most pain-free when I have no bend in my ankle and point my toes down. The more ankle bend- putting on a shoe or driving a car- the more pain. I assume that the scar tissue iritating the nerve pushes against it when the ankle bends. Also brings on the question, can a emg test be influenced by the position of the foot/ankle when it is being administered?
