Depression?

Posted by Wendy G on 4/23/01 at 16:51 (045491)

I've read a couple of new posts here that keeps referring back to the fact that depression can cause PF? How so? Thank you ahead of time!

Wendy,

I think what was meant is that having PF can cause a person
to come down with a bad case of depression..

That was my first thought too but if you look at the messages, in more than once place, it says that it is worsened by depression. All the sudden, a light went on because I thought maybe this has something to do with my feet feeling better (not 100% but quite a bit).

Hi Wendy,

Cool your feet are feeling better. Saw your post about your change of shoes.
Sometimes the simplest things help and sometimes it seems nothing at all
helps. I hope you continue to be one of the lucky ones with continued relief.
I am still trying anything and everything to get rid of PF.

Yes PF would be worsened by depression in the sense that trying to cope
with the pain, not being able to do the things one used to do before PF,
such as walking, shopping, running and other pleasures that pain interferes
with tends make a person feel not only frustration but isolation, sadness
and loneliness and that worsens their over all condition..
