PF & Laser Therapy

Posted by CatherineL on 4/30/01 at 12:50 (046236)

Hi,

I started laser therapy and have gone for 3 7/7 minute treatments. There has been improvement.

When pressing on the bottom of my heel, I no longer have intense pain, it is now uncomfortable and tingly.

I'm to go for 2 more treatments and back to the dr. on Monday.

It's great to feel such an improvment even though my feet still kill me if I'm on them for more than a few hours a day. I was very hopeful in the beginning, and half expected this to cure my PF in a few treatments.

What can I expect from the laser therapy? Do you have any info on it related to PF?

Thanx

CL

Location ID #40 . . . Add a patient treated at this location
Machine: SIEMENS Sonocur . . . Installed: June 1, 2000
Dr. Eric Fonberg, Med. Dir.
Bayshore ESWT Clinics Inc.
675 Cochrane Dr., Suite 105
Markham, Ontario, Canada . . . 905-940-2627 . . . eswt.markham@bayshore.ca
Why Bayshore ESWT treatment is the most successful:
Bayshore's ESWT treatment protocol includes the use of ultrasound to localize the pain area (which is not larger than a corn of rice). It pinpoints the exact location of pain and locks the equipment in place prior to applying ESWT treatment. Bayshore follows the treatment protocol prescribed by European specialists which results in a high level of success rate at Bayshore ESWT clinics. No local anaesthesia is required.
All Bayshore therapists are trained in ultrasound localization.

Convenient location:
The Bayshore ESWT Clinic Markham is located in the Greater Toronto area,at major intersections Hwy. 404 and Hwy. 7. Hotels for out-of-town and US patients are within walking distance to the clinic.
Further clinics are planned in the Greater Toronto area in 2000 and expansion to other provinces in 2001.

Thanx dr. Z

I have already been in touch with Heidi a couple of weeks ago to inquire on ESWT. She did mention that they do laser therapy in combination with ESWT. And you're right... she was very helpful.

I will check with her on the laser therapy questions.

Thanx

CL
