Re: Jade trial update

Just a brief update on the Jade 168 Balm clinical trial. You can see graphic representations of progress on my website at http://www.jadepage.com/jadetrial.htm

So far we have 28 participants with four more soon to begin reporting. Four of these have been rapid responders, i.e. very significant improvement within one week. One of these had a relapse for a brief period but is now doing well again. I have no explanation for this. One participant experienced some increase in pain, ceased treatment and then resumed. It will be interesting to see the outcome.
At Week 1, the average pain improvement was 10.8% and at Week 2, 17.8% although there are still one or two significant improvers to be added to this figure. By comparison, of the 16 respondents on Scott's data base who have reported, there is overall a 14% improvement in pain levels after commencing Jade, but some of these reports have not been updated.
At week 2, there were 6 participants who noticed no difference in pain levels. Overall, 66 percent have recorded improvement to varying degrees.
Given that the pharmaceutical industry considers 25-50% to be a satisfactory level of efficacy for most drugs, I think the Jade is holding up quite well - and it's not a drug. There certainly have been some glowing reports!
I'd like to thank everyone in the trial for being so supportive, positive, and, even those showing no improvement, optimistic and hopeful - as I am. Please don't give up if you're not responding, this is new territory for all of us and you never know what might happen in the next couple of months.

Out of the 22 heelspurs.com people who have filled out the Jade database, 7 are reporting a reduction in pain. 1 is reporting an increase in pain. 4 report a satisfaction level above 5. Please update your record if you need to: http://heelspurs.com/jade.cgi
