Birkenstock link please

Posted by Lisa C on 7/13/01 at 03:03 (053017)

Could someone provide the Birkenstock link that explains each type of shoe line and what type of foot they are good for. Ex; Tatami- higer heel bed good for a higher arch... It was a great site that had a weath of info on Birks. I tried a google search and the results were overwhelming. The link was given on this site before, but Birkenstock brings up sooo many results.

hi lisa, if it's the main birk site in germany, this is the link: http://www.birkenstock-cn.com

hope that's the one you're looking for.

Is this the one you are thinking of: http://www.footwise.com/Fittingroom/footbeds.cfm ?

They have lots of information at this site.

Lisa C, it's worth noting that there are several Birkenstock websites, some better than others at supplying information. The German site, if you are going to buy on-line, is the cheapest.

Lisa, the German site is great to buy from as I have purchased 5 pairs of Birk's for less than $200! :) But~~Julie gave me and several others, some good advice. Before you buy off the internet, it is best to go and be fitted in a store and also to buy your first pair locallay so you can be fitted properly. Also, if you wear them around the house, just on carpet for a short while, if they don't work for you, most reputable stores will take them back and give you a refund.
Then after you are sure you 'can' wear them, go to the German site and go wild, like I did!! LOL
I have even bought the Birkenstock insoles to go in my other shoes so I can wear them also!!

Good Luck!
