Fluid Retention??

Posted by Tammy Miles on 7/14/01 at 20:59 (053212)

This may be a silly question: would fluid retention have an affect on PF? Some days my ankles are really swollen and my feet feel like they are going to explode. Sometimes it seems worse around 'that time of the month'(sorry, guys) and my PF pain soars. I try to drink extra water. Anyone else like this?

Tammy - this has come up numerous times on this board so don't apologize! Many people notice a connection - could be anything from water retention to a lower pain tolerance once a month.

Hi Tammie
I have found that the swelling in my feet problem has gotten significantly better (at all times of the month!) since I stopped drinking carbonated sodas. There are a number of posts on this topic -- you might want to do a search.
