Sorry and what I have learned about virus protection

Posted by Dr. Zuckerman on 7/20/01 at 08:05 (053800)

This is the first time I have ever had a virus attached my computer. Sorry about this.

What I am now doing is updating my Norton antivirus scan on a daily basis not weekly . It went right past my norton . So I would always do a live update on a daily routine.

I'll try to learn that lesson - and I forgive you for sending me the virus.

How can you update every day? Last time I did it it took 40 minutes!

I am suprised too Julie - I have cable and it really only takes me a few minutes - maybe you need a faster modem!!!!

one click of the norton virus update button and once a month my virus utility is updated. it is a pain to keep it on sometimes espically if you are installing programs. all progams advise you to turn the virus protection off when making software installations.
