severe pain 2 yrs after trauma

Posted by Catherine H on 7/26/01 at hrmin (054344)

Hi there

I am emailing you all the way from South Africa. 2 years ago I was the victim of a serious car accident. One of my injuries was degloving to the left lateral foot. The scar tissue healed by primary intention but for the last 2 years I have been left with severe pain under the scar and decreased movement especially on walking. I was a keen sports woman and dream of getting back to my sport. Is there any permanent nerve block or scar graft that could help?

Please help???
Desperate.

The sural nerve runs right around that area. That nerve can be removed and or injections with alcohol sclerotic agents. Now for the limitation of movement that can be a tough one at this stage
