Posted by colleen on 8/07/01 at 18:39 (055827)

i am a nurse, so i am on my feet 10-12 hrs a day...hard floors! for the past two years i have been having problem w/ my left foot. it all started out with numbness in the inner archway and has progressed to numbness and pain in my foot(mostly in the arch and bottom) sometimes it hurts so badly it is into my calf.
i do have a few lumbar buldging discs, but am going for an emg next week of the lower extremities.......
anyone else have this problem?

Could be TTS or a lumbar or lumbosacral root problem mimicking TTS--definitely needs a check by a good neurologist who will probably do an NCV (nerve conduction velocity test). That being said, biomechanical control can often benefit the problem so a podiatrist may be seen after the neurologist.
