what happens to the boney part of the spur

Posted by Sheri V on 8/13/01 at hrmin (056665)

When the treatment is administerd, what happends to the boney spur...does it go into tiny pieces and disappear?

Also, I heard of a clinic in Boise, Idaho...does anyone know who and what the name of the clinic is?

The heel spur (bone) is not affected by ESWT. The bone spur itself is a questionable cause of pain and is often not removed in surgery.
