Julie - Hot Pool for PF -or is this bad for inflammation

Julie - 2 sides to the coin. I always get conflicting views on hot pool vs icing ? If inflammation is the problem in PF /Heel pain - shouldn't you ice it to keep the inflammation down , but if there is little blood flow to that area, shouldn't you put your feet in the hot pool to get the blood moving thru there ? Which one is right ? And then one physiotherapist said use hot pool/cold pool ???? Trying to get the right prescription.

invariable athletes ice for the first 24-48 hours after an injury to keep down inflamation. after that you always see them in the whirlpool/hot tub.
