Running vs. Walking Shoes

I am not a runner, but I notice that your sites often mention running shoes rather than walking shoes. For people with foot pain, is the support in running shoes generally better than in walking shoes?

Yes usually the runners are the most supportive shoes out. Many walkers are just roomy dress shoes with an athletic shoe sole. Go to a reputable running or athletic shoe store. Some walkers are actually high performance, almost version of a running shoe. See post above about shoes to steer clear of
