Pain in the back of the heel

Posted by Roz Z. on 9/29/01 at 09:05 (061851)

I developed debilitating pain in the back of my right heel, just right of center after climbing more hills than usual. Is it plantar fascitis? The spot is painful to touch, worse in the morning, painful when in contact with a shoe, but it is localized. I have no pain on the bottom of my foot.

Roz: I have your symptoms exactly. Also feel more pain when doing hills. I have Achilles InsertionalTendonitis, not PF. Check it out with a good DPM.
