Another step forward

Posted by john h on 10/10/01 at 10:16 (062629)

I had my 4th ESWT treatment on 28 Sep with Dr Zuckerman. Day before yesterday I walked a fast paced 3 miles which is the first thing i have done since the treatment. Yesterday i walked a fast 3 miles on an indoor track. At one point i had to get around some slow walkers and jogged around them, only i just kept on jogging for 2 laps which is about 100 yards. I amazed myself in that i was unsure i would ever jog again after 7 years of no running. It is the day after and my feet are hanging in there at no worse than pain level 1. If i can jog 2 laps then maybe i can jog 4 laps and maybe--------------------------

CONGRATULATIONS, John!! That is terrific news. It is great to know that you have experienced such healing. You have spent time and energy informing and encouraging others here; I just want to say how happy I am for you! :-)

dr z i indeed was running just behind the then Governor Clinton the the 10K Downtown Turkey Trot. He went down hard i said 'hi gov' as i trotted on by. he ran in most of our 5K and 10K races here in little rock and i on various occasions had a chance to chat with him. i knew if i hang around near Bubba there would be chicks nearby.

What great news John!!!
With your determination how could you not get better.
Now with all this fast paced walking/jogging stuff going on, I have one question, are you running from the gals or chasing them?
Best of luck to you John and hope you continue to improve!
happy trails to you.........

I might look into this treatment someday...God willing, I won't have to (I hate surgery just
like y'all do). Good for you John! Very inspiring...I wonder if someday a PF documentary will
be made on someone like you. God bless you and heal you.
