foot pain after surgery

Does foot pain 8 weeks after surgery mean that the doctor made a mistake during surgery or is this normal?

Hi,

You can have pain up to six months or more with any type of heel spur and or plantar fascia release procedure whether the doctor made a mistake or not. Why do you think a mistake was made.

I am also 8 weeks post op from PF surgery and still having pain. Can't walk yet without crutches. Sorry you are still having trouble but glad to know I am not the only one. Wish my dr. would have told me what Dr. Z. is saying now, that it is possible to have pain up to 6 months post-op. I probably would not have had the surgery. Things that are helping me: physical therapy, switched from cam walker to surgical shoe (much less bulky and allows me to keep foot wrapped with ace bandage to keep swelling down), and reading this web site. Thankfully I have a job that allows me to sit much of the time so I am able to work. Also a husband who is tremendously helpful and does a lot for me. I am considering a referral to a physiatrist (physical rehab specialist). Going to a 2nd podiatrist was not helpful.
Anything you are doing that helps you that you could share with me?
Anyone out there who experienced similar healing time and can give us some hope, who've had a successful recovery, eventually?
