OK, now the message board should be fixed. My host providers' response was 'Hey, isn't that interesting. The new Perl install we just did isn't able to open old database files. Here's your old data in txt files. Extract it to the new db files yourself.' I didn't chomp my $a which is why it took so long to find the error of my ways.cgi. At least I blessed my children before forking so that they didn't turn into zombies.

Did you get to see what this board looked like a couple of hours ago? Real weird. Don't understand all of Scott's technobabble, but it's looking pretty good now.

I was trying to find the bug. The weird stuff elliot is talking about was when I was printing out each variable as it was cycling through the threads that weren't showing up.
